Summary |
In 1939, at the instigation of Lord Mountbatten, Mr. Strong started the adaptation of a form of electrical treatment, highly successful in the human field, to the treatment of injuries to horses. The war intervened; but on demobilization from the Forces in 1945, he resumed the work. An apparatus and technique were devised, and in 1956 a full account was given in his book, Common-Sense Therapy for Horses' Injuries. Since then, much work has been put into the development of the apparatus and technique of application, with a success beyond the dreams of the originators. This book explains the whole process so that owners may be able to carry out treament effectively and scientifically, not only to horses but to other domestic animals. |
